Fees Redecorating your home with the help of an interior designer can transform the place for the better – and it works out a surprisingly worthwhile investment too! Sometimes you might find that your home interior looks drab and dull, and well behind on the latest trends and fashions that keep a place looking fresh and inviting. Fortunately, however, there is a solution that will help transform your tired and outdated looking property for the better – by redecorating the home with the help of an interior designer! This may sounds l ike an extravagant option, but these days more and more home-owners are opting for professional help when configuring the latest looks for their homes. Plus we hope you agree that interior design costs are nowhere near as expensive as people often think… When looking for an interior designer, think about building a good rapport with someone and find someone who you work well with; communication is of the utmost importance when you are trying to perfect the look of a new room that suits your day-to-day lifestyle. We offer a free initial consultation at our premises to help give you an idea of how I work and what to expect. We discuss budget , timescale, and try to get an idea of the style you are looking for… looking at a few fabric designs and paint tones. To take advantage of this meeting to answer all the questions you have on your mind. Even bringing plans and / or a few images of the rooms which will help me to start the process….. We do deal with casual callers, but it is better to make an appointment to make sure I am available - as a guide this would normally last about 15-20mins The Site Visit - This is then discussed and depending on how many rooms and what is needed for each room a fee is arranged… As a guide this is charged at an hourly rate of £60+ Vat which is payable when booking the appointment. At the site visit - We walk round the rooms together - picking out which pieces of furniture we will be kept - getting an idea of the style of the room/s This is important as I can get an idea of the feel of the house and can give better advice of how to furnish it and help determine the best colours, patterns and shapes for your room and assess how things work in regard to the space and/or dimensions available. At this point - notes are made - Measurements are taken for estimates only at this point. The design ideas - The next step it an appointment in the shop. This is normally booked it about 7 - 10 day after the Site visit. You will be greeted with a display of fabrics, wallpaper, paint boards, Pole fitting, blind samples. Images of furniture and lighting styles will be shown and the practically of window dressing will be discussed…. An estimate of the design will also be given or may need to follow after with a few amendments after this meeting - The design is flexible and we work with you until we are both happy that we have arrived with the best result. If you are happy with what you see, depending on the project - I may have all products available in the shop…. But there will be times where we won’t have and I will need to go to my contacts to find other products - light fittings, furniture, tiling, flooring options for you… This is also priced by £60 plus vat per hr… I have a good range of local connections which keeps the time cost to a minimum. Working often with other local manufacturers enables me to sometimes offer discounted materials on your behalf – also saving you the hassle of shopping around for the best deal. You have the option of A Design Mood Board which can be made at an extra cost of £30 or the samples being sent directly to you in the post or collectable at the shop if they need talked through again… If you decide to go ahead with the design…. We thank you in advance! Next we would book you in with our Measuring Service - as an idea of cost this can be anything from as little as £15 - £60 depending on the location and the size of the job… A finalised quote of products will be costed which includes the project management and also Labour cost of Painters / Tilers / Curtain and Blind fitters… Then we project manage the design from start to finish - Ordering all products, checking deliverys, keeping you up dated, giving details to the labourers, arranging installation and finally visiting the site to make sure we are both happy with the end result…. We often take photographs for our own records and with your permission use the images in our social media. We can arrange for one of the local magazines or papers to visit - which can be a lovely keep sake for yourself or is a help tool if you are thinking of selling your property at a later date. Every Project is different - some small or larger than others….So as you can image the time to manage a project can vary. We are proud to be able to keep the fees to a minimum.
